New to forum thinking of getting a ball python

Hi New to the forums how is everyone today, lately I have been thinking about getting a ball python. I have a few question before actually getting one

1.Why does the normal one cost less than ones with different color?

2.I don't know how to build a cage for it, aquarium tank or a plastic box? general cost to make one?
(links in the forum with guides would be helpful I have trouble navigating through the forums)

3.I only had fish never had a reptile, are snakes easy to take care of?

any links with information about ball pythons would be much appreciated
