I went to the Hamm Expo in Germany about 4 weeks ago. The Hamm expo claims to be the largest Reptile expo worldwide, and maybe it is. Anyway, I got some new additions... :-)
A pair of Philodryas baroni (Baron’s racer), actually I wanted only the male for my female, but the previous owner wanted to sell them only together, but he made me good price for both of them, so I took them…
Here is the female, the male is still a little camera-shy
I got also two European snakes which might be found here in Germany as well.
A female grass snake (Natrix natrix natrix), the European equivalent of the genus Nerodia in the USA and Canada
and an Aesculapian snake (Zamenis longissimus), a European rat snake and the largest native snake here in Germany.
All snakes are DNZ (= German captive bred) from 2014. I keep them separate for now, the Philodryas baroni will probably move to my other female at the end of the year.
