Overly active during cooling?
I have a pair of carpets who started cooling for breeding on September 1st. I shut off their heat at night (drops to lower 70s) and have lowered their day temps to 84 on the hot side and 70s on the cool side. I have been feeding lightly (2 large mice per week for the last 2 weeks). I've noticed a HUGE change in behavior. My female is seemingly pissed at the world, hissing and occasionally striking when touched. My male is as tame as always but can't seem to sit still. I'm not too worried about him since he's generally very active. But my female is normally very tame, but I noticed her change in temperament a few days after I started cooling. Their cages are right next to each other... Do they want to breed and it's making them restless? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
