Doesn't sound like it. That behavior is exactly like my SD...I have learned to wait and feed when he really starts cruising his cage....really "looking" for food. I have better luck with actually ingesting the prey. And as someone e;lee above noted, feed last with minimal disruption and usually somewhat dark....
