Hello. I have a 2 1/5 long king (do not know how old he/she is. It'd be nice to know)

My king is a specky tempered snake. You could handle and snuggle him/her for all day, then the next he/she would bite the crap out of you for no reason. Days of his/her feeding would be every other Tuesday. I recently changed his/her feeding amount last month to 2-3 fuzzies. I need to upgrade him/her to hoppers some time around. Anyways, after that change, I was able to handle him/her for a whole week with being bit or have any signs of it. After that week, he/she went back to the average behavior.
I am a new snake handler and would like some friendly advice on how to change my ways to help me tame my snakes. I noticed the food difference, that's all I changed. I do know how to handle my snakes very well.
What should I do to get a little more training into making him/her more tamed? Help, please. c:
