I agreed night before last to take in a snake for a couple from Mississippi. The guy is being redeployed to Japan, and his wife, a veterinarian, needed to find homes for all her critters (a little bit of everything!). She couldn't find homes for the snakes in Mississippi and asked all the people she knows all over the U.S. Finally, she contacted our herp society in Oklahoma City. Several of us are helping out.
What I'm most pleased with is the
condition of her animals--all my previous adoptees have been in mediocre to poor condition, but this guy is in EXCELLENT condition! I'm posting a couple of pics to show you. I got her male corn snake; isn't he a beauty? I put him in a clean tank last night, and he's pooped, too, so he was fed not long ago!
