I lurked here for a few days and figured I'd sign up, because knowledge is power, right? Well, I'm jake, and I live in Michigan. Not nice, pretty, country Michigan, but instead by Detroit. Yuck. I'm 17, and I have always loved snakes. As a child I read the book "Verde" everyday, haha. I finally convinced my parents to let me get a snake when i was about 9. We bought a garter snake, and I had it for a few years until it passed away. I haven't had a snake since, but have always wanted another. Today I drove around and decided that there is a beautiful "albino" corn snake at a pet store. Looks pretty young, I'd say about 8 inches long. If everything goes as planned, I will be picking him/her up tomorrow morning. From what research I've done, this should be a good snake to get back into the snake world with. If you have any tips or suggestions for me, let me hear em! I look forward to my stay here, thanks for reading my long drawn out intro. Better then a "hi I'm new" intro though, right?
