Lizards in my yard?
Yep, I have an invasive lizard species living in my yard. They are Italian wall lizards. There were some populations living in New York City and they finally spread to my area. They are pretty cool and they will surely take care of the insects in the garden. I tried to snap a pic but they are very fast and bolt as soon as they see me. I will keep trying though. I love the fact that I can walk out my door step and see some wild lizards. While they are an invasive species, they do not compete with any of the native wildlife. There are no other lizard species living in NYC.
