I use the metric system as I prefer it to the imperial... Being in OZ the whole country uses it anyway lol. Scientific equations are also based on the metric system which makes it easier SI units of measurements.. As to the question why snakes are refered to in grams... simple the rest of the world uses it and being the interweb, we are all from different places. Metric being the predominant unit of measurements in the world, snakes = metric.
