Sharing a viv

This may be the wrong forum but here goes. I am NEW to herping & only keep snakes that I have found in my yard. I have been cohabitating these snakles but have read some opinions that this is a bad idea. I had two the first couple of months (a rat & a ribbon) & for the last month or so have had three together. These are two rat snakes & one ribbon snake. They seem to get along just fine, all eat with no problems so can / should I continue this or separate them for good? Should I keep the rats together & put the ribbon snake in a separate viv? The rats eat pinkies & fuzzies & the ribbon loves live minnows. I plan at some point to return them to my yard to regain their freedom & return to their ecological function. Keeping them in a viv inside prevents that but also protects them from predators. I enjoy watching & feeding them. The seem to get along fine as my pictures will show...
