Re: At the Vets. D: Help please?

Hey everyone. Thanks for thinking of me and Fudge over the weekend. Sorry for my absensce.

It was a very long and hard weekend. As some people mentioned above, because of fudges size he was very hard to treat. There was talk of xrays and surgery but all the vets I was speaking to (and I spoke with a lot) admitedly never dealt with something so small. Many of them had to look pictures of a leaf tail gecko to understand. We managed to pull out as much gunk from his mouth and throat as we could at the clinic; and I brought him home. I gave him some warm soaks, and made sure he was well hydrated and warm through out the night. By morning he had passed a small amount of poop/substrate and was walking around, and drinking water i sprayed in. When I came home from work ( I wish I brought him - but I was started to worry about all the stress he'd been going through with visiting the vets and being restrained and such so since he looked better sat. am I thought it was best to leave him. I was gone five hours.) he did not look well. He would not drink and was hardly walking. When I looked again a bit later he had his mouth gaped open, and his body was moving around in the most uncomfortable looking way.

Needless to say he died in my hands within the next minute.

I thought he was safe on the bedding he had, since that's what he had for the two years of his life - just goes to show you how dangerous the stuff can be . . Expecially with such a small delicate reptile. R.I.P little buddy.
