My Mother, the Boa Charmer

So 2 of my snakes my BP Mav and my Colombian Boa Leela are housed at my mom's because I am attempting to move and I need to start de-cluttering.

Now my mother is not afraid of my snakes she in fact is the only one in the house that I can ask to check on them however she refuses to open the tanks which is fine.

Last night I called to check up on my critters I gave her the husbandry checking instructions and she - while on the phone - went down stairs where my babies are being kept. After checking that the temps and humidity are ok I asked if she sees them coming out (it was night time) so she said well Mav is but Leela isn't

being ready to hang up the phone my mother starts to BABY TALK MY SNAKES and after me telling her they probably wont respond she says "yea well Leela slithered her whole body out of her hide and is curled up ON TOP OF IT watching me" and the baby talk continued, as long as she baby talked the snakes stuck around OUT of their hides and listened to her babbling when she stopped they slithered back to doing what they were doing before.


I laughed for a good 15 minutes.. my mother.. the snake charmer
