Re: The "Bite Club" thread

Ok, well I got a particularly nasty bite last night. I was feeding the snakes, and my tri-stripe male coastal carpet, Skunk, had bad aim. He was facing hte other way when I dangled the rat into the cage, and he whipped around and struck so fast that he completely bypassed the tongs and hit the side of my hand. I was good and didn't pull away but he fell onto the floor and left a tooth stuck in my hand. I got him his actual meal, put him away and went to clean my hand. Today, if I have to pick anything up, or something brushes against the bite spot, my whole thumb gets all pins-and-needles and numb. I'm hoping it heals quickly, but if there's nerve damage it could be months. Anyway, here's some pics of Skunk's hit. The one of my thumb nail has the tooth that I dug out of my hand sitting on the nail.
