new to the community
Hello everyone new here and with a question that may get everyone stirred up. I am a very experienced keeper of the giants and have been so for many years. I have a 15 ft retic, 2 12 ft burmese, and some smaller, 2 red tails, and 2 amazon tree boas as well as 2 balls. I have had my retic for 9 years and the burmese for 7 and the balls so long I have forgotten, the tree boas are kind of new. I now find myself leaning towards owning a hot snake. I actually have quite a bit of experience catching Rattlers but only to release them. The last of my kids have left for college and I have the space, seperation, and security to handle housing them. My question stems to this. I have the knowledge and time to care for my larger snakes and would love to step up to a venomous. I don't want to overstep my bounds as in I started with ball pythons before I moved up to the Retic. What would be a good species to start with? I will say that I am partial to the Copperhead. Who would be a good breeder to deal with? Venomoid? Sounds like a bad idea from the start but I don't have enough info on the subject to judge it. Any help would be great.
