I need help!!!!

OK I found this snake in my yard today. I live in Central Florida on a Lake. Sorry if it is not poisonous, I killed it. I have 2 babies and 2 small dogs that play in my yard and just can not take that chance. Again please snake lovers do not get mad...educate, and if it is not dangerous and I ever see one again I will let it go!! Im sorry about the picture but it's the only one I had! I need to make sure it cant hurt my kids....Ive researched on the internet for hours and cant find anything like it, and thats the only reason Im posting this picture on here. Thank you all for understanding and im desperate for help!! thank you again!
