Misting the tank?

Hi guys - another question!

I bought a plant sprayer from a garder centre the other day to mist the tank with. I am giving it a couple of pumps every few days for a couple of mistings but it still seems really dry to me.

Having read a bit in the forum today I started to see all sorts of things about respiratory diseases and mould in the tank eeek! What level of misting would you reccomend for a year old junglexjag x irian jaya carpet python?

Also I have substrate of bark chips. I know there may be some issue of him swallowing them during feeding. He usually eats from a branch so that seems okay so far but I've always used this type with previous snakes and so far so good. Kitchen roll just seems so mean and stngy! Any advice on this?
