Crazy Corns

Well I was going to wait till spring to breed them but someone said now was ideal time so I thought I'd give it a try.

I put the male in the enclosure with the female and watched for awhile. I had taken the hide the female was in out temporarily to make sure I could see both. The male crused around checking the strange enclosure out but pretty much ignored the female unless one or the other went across the other. Then they would twitch. After awhile the male went in the hide on the warm side and the female somehow got between the plexiglass on the top and the wire top. She has never made any attempt to get out or climb the sides to get to the top. I'm thinking she was just nervous and trying to get away from the male.

I got her back down where she belonged and put the hide back in on the cool side. Well the next thing I knew she crawled into the hide with the male. They seem to be comfortable there even I would think it's a little crowded. I use 6" diameter clay flower pots inverted for the hides. I drilled the hole in the bottom out to 2". Quite adequate for one but seems small for them both to be in the same hide.

I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
