PETA strikes again

As I walked out of one of my classes today I decided to grab on of my schools free newspapers to use as a substrate for my gecko's tank. Normally I dont read them, I just stuff them in my backpack. Today, however, I looked down at it and saw the headline: PETA: NKU is harming rats 'unnecessarily'. Well, anyone who has read my signature knows what I think of that group of crazys, so obviously I read the story. You can read it too by going to this link:

Basically the People Evily Terrorizing Accademics are saying that my school is evil because one of the professors here performs brain surgery on rodents. I myself have taken a tour of the science labs and i can tell you, those rats and mice are being well taken care of, then euthanized humanely. They keep them in better conditions than pet stores and use them for a good cause. I cant remember exactally what the professor said, but they have discovered several chemicals/protiens/hormones/somethings in the brains of these rats and mice that have lead to new views on the way the brain works, and experimental treatments for several brain disorders, including Alzheimers. I can see PETA getting angry over a couple kids cutting up animals for no reason, but what is going on at my school serves good purposes.

Your comments are welcome.
