Tongue Color

Hi

I dont post very often but am an avid reader. I have a question though, I have a new Blood, hes maybe 3 months old, and I was looking at all the pics on here of the many bloods, and noticed that the tongues of these guys are flesh color. My Blood's tongue is BLACK. I was just wondering if the color is off, or if it ment anything.
