Question Green tree frog overeating?

I bought a green tree frog around x-mas time... when i got him he was what i would say a normal size, but now he seems kind of bulky.. i dont know how much i feed him exactly.. i feed him when i see him searching around for food. every 2-3 days.. ill give him a few small-medium crix. i was just wondering if they will eat more then they should and get overweight?
Thanks,
Davey
