4 months later.......

My Ball finally ate again. My oldest and first Ball python has been on a fast since late Aug early Sept. Finally he ate again last night. Didn't have to do anything funky, no braining or scenting or any of the special techniques needed to get eating again, just changed my husbandry. Winter is upon us so naturally things are a bit colder so naturally my Guys cage was a bit colder. Understanding the fact that now is when most ball pythons go off food, I decided to change a few things. I was using natural sunlight as a day a night time variance, changed that to a 12 on and 12 off of overhead light. Ambient temps were dipping a bit during the night, made sure that stopped, cool side of the tank was cooler then it usually is in the summer, upped the temp on the cool side. After about 2 weeks of introducing him into this more summer like schedule he began to eat again. Since he isn't being used for breeding, I'm not worried about cooling him, just happy that he is eating again

Now my only hope is that he eats again next week, lol.
