Clipping Nails???

Ok, Ally just shredded the top of my hands while trying to get onto the floor to explore (she is now on a leash and wandering around as I type).

I have a few great cuts now, and would like to know how to clip her nails. I have everything I need (various sized nail clippers for humans, cats, and dogs), just need to be sure I don't accidentally hurt her while doing it.

Any suggestions?
