Green Ball???
Hey all, I am wondering something. I was given my second ball python, Jive, a few months ago. She wasn't wanted anymore, and the owner knew I would take her in.
Anyways, at first I figured she was just a regular ball, no known hets or anything. However, as she is getting larger and shedding more often, I am noticing that she has a distinct green hue to her entire body. Her sides are light green and yellow, with the upper part being a dark green that is clearly visible in natural light (we got these new daylight bulbs for the kitchen).
Does anyone know what this is? I never paid too much attention to her coloration before, except to check for bites, mites, etc. I first noticed this about 3 weeks, ago, but figured I was mistaken. Today I had her out for about 1/2 hour, inspecting her (she just shed last night). She is a wonderful color that is difficult to capture with the digi cam.
She is kept on paper towel now (for a couple days she was on newspaper, but it had no green ink on it).
Thanks to anyone who has some ideas, and I will try to get some decent pics tomorrow.
TK
