new corn snake owner
Just wanted to say Hi I am new to this site and am new to snakes too. I bought my first corn snake an albino motley and have fell in love with these beutiful creatures. How we came to get a snake is sad. My 9 year old sons dog got ran over and he was so up set. He cried for 3 days because he missed him so bad. One day I came home from work and someone had killed a beautiful small chicken snake. He was sad. He tried to help it but someone had smashed its head. It was so sad. He wanted so much for that snake to live. He ask me several days later if he could have a snake as a pet. I have always loved snakes and read about them and always watched animal planet. So we went to a local pet shop and looked. The pet shop let him hold a variety of snakes and he loved the corn snake and so did I . It would not get so big that he couldnt handle. I had my son read all the care sheets on how to care for them and he did and he tells me now what to do. Now that we have out snake Aubrey he or she has become a part of our family. We have fed her once 2 pinkies with no problem and is due a feeding today. We plan on getting several more snakes in the near future.
