Can someone help me?

My vieled chameleon, Kali, approximately 5 months of age and approximately 13 inches from nose to tip of tail has lately been eating dramatically less. I know that they generally eat more as young juveniles, but does the change happen within a few days?

I have a bowl where I put crickets in; a good amount while for the past few months, about 20, sometimes more.

Today I threw in some crickets, about 12 and a few that were in there from the day before (gutloading supplement is supplied within the container so they are always gutloaded).

I clean out the dead ones as often as I can.

Yesterday I had to transport him. The trip there and his time spent there was fine, but on the way home he showed signs of stress. When he was returned home his normal colouration returned and seemed to be fine.

As with vieleds, he is a bit snappy, actually biting my nose today! :P

The decrease in eating is apparent within the last week or so, and he has not eaten much since yesterday.

Is the decrease in consumed food due to his getting older? and is the lack of eating in the last day or so due to the stress? Will it go up again?

Thanks so much and sorry for the long post.

Aidan
