General fasting question

My female boa just recently started eating after a 3 1/2 or 4 month fast. I'm not concerned about the fast in general I was just looking for input as to what may have caused it. I have ruled out environmental changes (husbandry) as her temps were within the gradient they have always been. She didn't lose any weight during the fast, she just got lazier than usual. She was always alert and still soaked occasionally (also no mites). I tried a bunch of feeding methods ranging from putting her in a small container with the rat, leaving it in over night, braining it etc. I offered her a meal every 7-10 days as had been our normal schedule, one day she just decided to eat.
