i recently purchased a few springfield precisetemp indoor/outdoor digital thermometers with probes for my snakes. there is a switch on the back for inddor temps and outdoor temps. seems the outdoor setting is the most accurate in the enclosures. the indoor setting is usually way lower. sometimes between 15-20 degrees cooler than the outdoor setting in the exact same spot. do you guys usually have your indoor/outdoor digital thermometers on the inddor or outdoor setting? also do you just put the probe right on the ground? thanx.
