Neck kink from breeding activity??

Has anyone experienced a male snake developing a kink in his neck or back after breeding activity? After his last breeding attempt we noticed a 30 degree bend in our cal king's neck. He has been a very aggressive breeder (more attempts than actual success) and literally wraps himself into knots in his vigor.

We thought it might just be a muscle spasm and he would work it out, but it has persisted for a couple days now. He was not actually injured when breeding (by constriction or anything).

Wondering if anyone else has seen a snake injure himself in this way - and whether they would recover. He is moving fine (and constantly when back in his own tub) and it doesn't seem to bother him, but looks pretty weird.

any suggestions??
