Confused Again (dry skin)

You guys may remember my Dry Skin post http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showt...threadid=29835

Well, all winter Montey has been in her humid hide and doing wonderfully. I always make sure it's damp without disturbing her much (I usually do it at Midnight when she was out for a drink).

Anyways, having said that there are no problems with the humid hide...I'm wondering why she got dry skin again.

SHe's been out for three days now, and the first two, she was fine, but tonight, the top of her head has a dry spot, and a bit of her belly has become dry again.

I have hypothesized two reasons for this.

One, my mom just came home from the hospital with pneumonia, and my aunt is here to take care of her. Without telling me so I could adjust my cage temps accordingly. My aunt turned up the temperature in the house by 10 degrees (it's a sauna in here) and when I checked her warm spot, it was friggen 110 Degrees!!!

My other theory is that she might be about to shed.

So, I've adjusted that friggen temperature issue. And I'm thinking of giving her a little bit of a soak in some water just as a precaution, since I don't think it'll do any harm.

Any thoughts?

Jenn
