Curing Edema

Sorry for my absence in the last little while, I have my hands full with family issues write now. I am just dropping a not that I think one of my dwarfs is on her way out. She has edema, and dispite changing the gutload, and cutting back heavily on supplements, it is progresivly getting worse. I talked to a friend, and he said that a vet cannot do anything, because it is not a bacterial thing, and no meds can help.
I dont know what do do I have done all I can .. and if it continues over the next few weeks to get worse, I dont know what I should do
