Plesiopelma longisternale

Ok guys,

Here is another very rare spider, a female
Plesiopelma longisternale.

One of the most amazing South American semi-arid dwelling theraphosid...

Unfortunatly it is a lesser known species and very rare in the hobby...

It's beauty is hard to capture on picture (as mine cleary shows!)... but a freshly molted specimen of those is a complete jaw-dropper!

It's most amazing trait is the very sparse long orange hair in contrast with the brown body... the shape of the prosoma (poorly visible here) is also very interesting...

Enjoy and when she venture out a little more, I will try to take more picture in all her glory!

Martin
