Has This Happened To You?

I went to get my burm out of his cage and I was handling him for 5 minutes. Looking at him I noticed that he is going to shed soon cause of his blue eyes. I measured him, left him on the floor and then I went to put the tape measure away. When I came back literally 10 seconds later he was realy pissed off, hissing, striking and trying to get away from me. So I got a box and slid it in front of him and naturaly he crawled in it and all is well. I would have never picked him up if I knew he was in pre-shed. Has this ever happened to any of you? Does this meen I have an aggresive snake?
