The "Awwwww, how cute!" Factor
I was in a local reptile shop today, and saw my first baby burm. It was so beautiful, and docile! I can see how it would be easy to sell them based on the "Awwww, how cute!" factor alone. It was a normal, but very pretty. They also had a 6-7 footer that my wife liked. In a few years, when we have room for it, I think I will be able to convince her to let me get one. If I have to, I'll use the CF (Cute Factor) and appeal to her maternal instincts! (Poor thing just misses his mommy!) o>
