Look what I found in the Hova yesterday! 8 days early here is Ichiryu (Japanese for Number One Dragon, still not definite on this name though). I was hoping I'd get some abberrant pattern hatchlings similar to Aurora's teardrop. Check out the cute little dots on this one. Incubation was 52 days. I was expecting 60. I hope it's still female.
I'm so proud. It's unbelieveable how tiny these guys are when they hatch. They look so huge in pictures. I'm in awe.
Ohh quick question. When we say they "live off their yolk" is that something in their bodies? Or do they lick up the leftover liquid in the egg? I wasn't sure so I left the egg in her nursery with her. Let me know. THanks
