Wondering About Proper Cage Sizing

Hello! I am super new to this site and trying to do some proper research before purchasing any reptiles, specifically a snake. I have two 10gl tanks and one 20gl tank. I am wondering what kind of snake/s could I house in any of them? Most of the information I have found seems kind of up in the air, depending upon how big the snake grows. If there is no snake what kind of reptile could I house in the smaller tanks? I know this is specifically a snake forum, but hoping you reptile lovers could help me with that information as well. Thank you!
