Thawing rats

I am just curious as to how long you can leave rats on the counter to thaw to room temperature before they are considered bad? I work 12 hour days and never seem to have time to thaw out roses for feeding except on my day off. I’d like to throw them on the counter to thaw when I get home and go to bed. I typically sleep about six hours. How long are they good after they actually thaw? Will be medium sized wraps. Any info would be greatly appreciated
