Question Question about custom cages for snakes

I'm looking to get a couple custom cages for my snakes but the ones I've found have the lights and heating element on the inside. I could see that being fine for a bearded dragon or something that doesn't climb much, but it seems unsafe for a snake. I could easily see one of my snakes climbing on the lights and burning itself or even breaking a bulb trying to squeeze itself between the fluorescent bulb and the cage. I've seen many cages like this advertised as snake cages but wouldn't this be a safety issue? I would rather have a heat tape set up or mesh on top to sit a lamp on rather than bulbs inside the cage.
