Chicks yes or no?

Have a few questions regards to food that can't grow with the snakes. I like offering my snakes (except Mushu) as much variety as I can. Now my retic Kaa is still between a day old quail and week old quail feeder wise. The day olds seem small and the week old too big for him at this point. The week olds are the same size as day chicks. Is it a good idea to offer day chicks as part of his rotation when he reaches that size or stick to food that will grow with him? What would be the effects? Positive? Negative? None?

Don't know enough to know the impact of offering feeders that the snakes will eventually outgrow the biggest size available.
