PVC or Acrylic?
Hello there,
I recently took off some of the wood on my roughly 4x2x4 enclosure to find most of it was unsealed and rotted and full of nasty bugs. I want to rebuild the tank out of something other than wood if possible, and I was looking into either PVC or black acrylic. PVC is harder to find but I've heard it's easier to work with. Acrylic is easier to find but it's heavier and more difficult to work with. Which one is more cost effective? What are pros and cons for both of these materials? Which one makes better cages? 3 sides are glass, I need to replace the top, the doors on the side, and the bottom. I'll post pictures of the enclosure in a minute.
