What a handsome boy! My sub-adult P. bairdi does the same thing, and I actually posted on here about it a month or two ago. What brought me back after being away for a year and I kinda just stuck around. So yeah, it never not gets stressful to hear the popping and the whistling when he sheds, especially since it usually starts a few days before he actually turns blue. He's getting darker so I think a shed is imminent.
Australian pythons aren't really my thing, I guess I just haven't caught the bug yet, but if I got a carpet it'd look like that. What a gorgeous little bugger, and he must know it too! Great job with him.
