Abaddon deserves an update in a topic of her own, she shed last night and looks gorgeous but still has issues. The scab on her face came off and that particular part actually looks Very good, that wound seems to be healed 90%. Her belly scales are still a bit rough and torn but the redness has receded and they look like they're healing, tried to take a picture but she is very nippy and jumpy. Did not have enough hands haha
She shed mostly in once piece just had to pluck a bit of her tail-tip, which surprised me because she was very dry the entire shedding cycle.. I expected a patchy shedding. Her shed was an extremely thick layer, felt almost like cardboard. Not sure why, but I think it was two layers of shed over each other. Would explain the cloudy eyes and the dry skin she had completely..(Was kept in a bone dry enclosure on some sort of sand) Even more impressing she managed to get most of it off by herself.
What I am a bit sad about is that the driest patch of skin she had (which also had a small scab) seems to have came off completely and is now an open wound. I cleaned it and I'll see if it closes soon, it was still bleeding a bit but she was getting very stressed out so I let it go for now. She seemed a tiny bit weaker, not the annoyed little fire cracker she was on day one. Think the shedding took a lot of energy, her strikes did not get as far.
I weighed her and she is 7 grams total lighter than the first day she came here, you can see her ribs and spine fairly well. She is young, and I know young boas often have visible ribs... But in my opinion you can see them too well for a snake that is supposed to be nearly 1,5 years old, my baby wild caught Surinams ribs aren't this visible... Please share your thoughts and opinions, you can see them in real life better than on the pictures because she puffs herself up, on the 2nd last picture you can sort of see what I mean. She also feels a bit skin and bones when holding her, am I being paranoid? The only meal she had with me she regurged... I have a small rat pup I will try to feed her soon. She is a pretty girl I really hope she gets better!
Before shed.

After shed, so much contrast! (Artificial lighting)

Natural light, you can see her ribs/spine on this picture. Her tail feels a bit deflated and bony.
