Thumbs down Colorhexidine

Has anyone seems strange reactions when using Colorhexidine orally for mouth rot, my boa started drooling an creating large amount of mucous after use. Now her mouth an gums seem as or more swollen as before. My vet recommended rinsing her mouth with it to avoid an stomatitis issues. She had a culture done a week ago which was negative for bacteria/fungi, I'm now worried that I hurt her mouth or mucous membranes. She is keeping her mouth cracked an still has a small amount of saliva/mucous along her gums.

I wondered about letting her swim in the bath tub so she can clean her mouth out more naturally, she dunked her head last night a few times in her water bowl.

Has anyone seen reactions like this when treating for oral infections, I'm very scared for my girl.
