Most snakes just die if translocated to a new area. Best bet is to release it in the very closest habitat. Although kingsnakes can eat a venomous snake, I don't think releasing that guy, which will likely just die anyway, will have any effect on a population level. Essentially, if there is a source population near their home, snakes will continue to venture into their property. If they are really worried about a specific area, such as a play area, inexpensive fencing can be created in the same way that drift fences are done, easiest to do in soil without exposed rock though.
