Birds for my boa

Hi everybody, I'd like to change my boa's diet a bit, just to be sure she gets all that she needs. Some say they feed on small reptiles and even fishes, personally I just saw them eating birds in the wild... what kind of local bird could I use?
I heard they appreciate a lot quails and chickens but they told me this isn't the right period for hatchlings (she's too young for an adult at the moment)
