Seems to be going well so far...

I've been lurking these forums getting info for weeks now, thought I'd actually sign up so I can have discussions . Proud new mama of a Colombian Rainbow Boa named Pixie - we've had her 4 weeks, she's taken 3 feeds (frozen/thawed, even though they had her on live at the store . Took some trial and error, but a shot with a hairdryer has solved our problems) and had an absolutely flawless shed for us. So happy she seems to be doing well. She loves to climb, and will loop herself immediately through your glasses in figure-8s if she sees you wearing them. One of the friendliest snakes I have ever encountered.

I fell in love with her in the pet store because of her personality, came home and did 3 days of exhaustive, up-all-night research about the species, put her on hold, got her tank set up, and boom. Bit of an impulse buy, but I've kept high-humidity tropical lizards and frogs before, and was pretty confident that I'd be able to maintain her temp/humidity needs. The perfect shed was a huge relief.

So anyway, Hi Everyone, and check my profile if you'd like to see pics of her! (Although I'm still trying to figure out photos on this site lol.) Any advice is always appreciated. I've learned a lot on this forum as a non-member, so thanks as well!
