Introduction and Corn Snake Question
My name is Ron Miles. I have been an avid collector of snakes since I was a little boy. Most of the time I catch the snakes and then keep them in airtight containers where they usually die within a few days. I realize this is probably seen as inhumane by many, but I let them die as naturally as possible and see it as much more humane when compared to those that purposefully kill other animals in violent ways so that they can display them on walls and in museums. I don't just throw away the dead snakes.. instead, I preserve them so that my children and my children's children can look into my jars and see what an authentic Eastern Rattler, for example, might have looked like once they go extinct.
In any case, I have several corn snakes that I've been keeping in formaldehyde over the years. I probably only need 2 or 3 of them that I want to keep. These are common snakes that probably won't go extinct any time soon. How much money are these worth? I'd like to sell them.
