Oh boy, here comes the rain...

If anyone here wants to greet a fellow Herp-lover into their forums, now's your chance.

So you guys can just call me Rain, it works I suppose. I have always loved snakes and lizards and all that good stuff my entire life although I grew up in a house who hated reptiles. It started when my mom dropped me off with this babysitter who had bunnies and puppies and birdies and all those cute fluffy stuff that she'd thought I'd be into, but nope. When she came to pick me up there I was, lying down on the couch with this big ol' burm as my pillow {He was a sweet snake and I was under a watchful eye so nothing happened }

It took about a decade of begging after that before I had convinced my parents to get me my first herp:

A male beardie named Spudz.

I loved that little critter and I remember that I would neglect my school/house work on occasion just to spend time with that lizard, but all animals die eventually. He was 7 when we got him, and died at the old age of 12. He lived a good life with us, and while I mourned I was ready to move on to the snake that I've always dreamed of having.

Well, that didn't work out as I had thought. I didn't get another reptile until I moved out and went to a reptile expo. I immediately fell in love with this beautiful anery KSB boy named Panda and I took him home and he's still alive and well {Although he can be a little diva at times....}.

Well, that's my story about reptiles. I'm looking to add more to my collection but I currently have my hands full with one lovable snake, so that will have to wait until my circumstances are better {I'm looking at getting a Red-Eyed Crocodile Skink though... Found one at an Expo last year and fell in love with the species}
