Hi! I never was a "snake" person before but have become fond of my new baby. My stepson found 3 eggs in our yard when removing some old logs. He had destroyed 2 before I found out & I took the last one from him. I doubted it would hatch but tucked it away in a plastic container for a month. To my surprise a week ago I found my new baby...
Already getting tamer & letting me hold it for longer periods. I'm guessing it's a rat snake...what do you think? How do I know when to feed it? The eyes went blue 2 days ago but now are shiny black again.
