Moose1960 Member Join Date: Jan-2003 Location: Trenton, Ontario Age: 64 Posts: 79	Basking Vs Ordinary Bulb? Yesterday my V Day Glo Basking Spot Lamp "Tight Beam" bulb burnt out, and i cant get a new one till next friday. So I decided to put in a regular clear 60 watt light bulb and I have noticed the heat is actually hotter at the basking area, 100-105. This is for my bearded dragon. Now my question is, what is the difference? Why should i pay so much for a basking light vs a regular light bulb. Is there some other reasons to use them besides heat. Thanks
