Omg. The past 3 times I fed Magenta, since she's such a SLOW eater, I've always walked away or fell asleep.
Well today I put the thawed rat in her cage at around 6:50am and I've been sitting here on my laptop for a while, watching videos and watching her ever so *slowly* sneak up on the prey.
I got my camera out at just the right moment and got her on video aggressively striking and constricting the rat! I didn't even know she ate like that! (duh, she's a constrictor
) I thought she was just a "open mouth and swallow" kind of snake.
... Of course my stupid cat heard her as she struck and ran up to her cage, and I had to chase her away, ruining the video
Anyways I'm glad I finally got to see her eat! What an aggressive feeder!
